Ramadan Announcement
The board of Imams have announced that the 1st day of Ramadan will be Thursday 12th of August. As such Tharaweeh prayers at the Monash University Mosque will commence on Wednesday 10th August. Times given below:
Isha prayers : 7.30 pm Tharaweeh : 7.45 pm
Sheik Fadhil Fuchni will be the Imam. At the Monash Mosque we will be praying 20 rakaats for Tharaweeh and 3 for witr prayers.

New Joint Islamic Studies program at Monash University and Australian Catholic University (ACU) In an exciting new initiative between Monash University’s Faculty of Arts and the Australian Catholic University (ACU), students will be able to study a diverse and well-researched range of units in all aspects of Islamic studies from 2011. Units will cover Arabic language, Qur’an and Hadith studies, Islamic history, law, contemporary thought, art, and comparative studies. A limited range of units will be available in 2010 including:
